Reflections of Passion

Sunday Mornings just doesn’t get any better than today.

Last night I had a very nice dinner with friends and future client about a new design and marketing strategy for her soon to be new web site. After dinner I had to house sit for another friend that happens to live right smack in the middle of a huge bird preserve and I could hardly wait until morning.

At the break of day I was on my feet and out the back door where a small pond nestles against a backdrop of woodlands filled with every kind of bird one could imagine.
Mother Nature did not let me down. The first thing I saw were two River Otters running and playing, chasing a nearby Heron in and out of the water. It was still a bit dark so the camera and me were having a hard time getting enough light on the subject to get a perfect shot.

Moments later I was surrounded by more birds as they went about their daily routine of preparing nests and looking for food. My camera was on overload!

In the background the wonderful Sandhill Crane choir sang their hearts out and the songbirds joined in and contributed to the echoes of nature. What a glorious display of God’s golden work. Better than any church service I have ever been in. Four hours of nothing but pure nature and a memory card full of each captured moment!
