A New Beginning
The New Year!
Another Blog!
I needed a place where I could post my own original thoughts and opinions on life as it is around me. I have been thinking of the perfect name for this blog, one that would capture the true feeling and intent. Something calm, casual and something that would reflect the good side of life and how life should be.
Sunday mornings, quite, slow, day of resting or family enjoyment, ok good enough! And so was “Sunday Morning Blogger” created.
The last two weeks of this year was a very close call for my family. My mother was hit with a medical emergency that would land her in the hospital for two weeks and call me to her hospital bedside. Mom lives about 3 hrs north of me in Florida. Upon arriving I was greeted by her physician with a report of her kidney’s shutting down and going into failure. There was a slim chance she would survive through the night and if she did we were looking at dialysis. Something my mother feared would happen to her later in life. She spent the last seven years of my grandmothers life on dialysis. Scared, yes, worried yes, but I grabbed my cell phone and began calling everyone I knew to begin praying for her. Her church held a special prayer service for her that night and friends and other family members began a night of prayers.
The next morning, around 5:00 a.m. I was greeted by the doctor that informed me that all he could say is that is has to be a miracle and it was all in God’s Hands that her vital signs and kidney’s were all back to full functioning!
Thank you Jesus..
The next few days were still critical, and she ended up in surgery having the doctor remove her appendix, finding problems with an irritated colon and a couple of other things but for the most part could be treated at home.
Christmas Day, she was able to go home, and it turned out to be the most blessed gift that any of us could hope for. A week of recovery and here we are Dec. 30th. All of her family drove up to spend the day with mom. We cooked, we laughed, we reminisced about our life, our past and our family.
Driving home that evening I found myself reflecting about this blog and how I would approach adding the content. I started reading the billboards for some reason until one in particular caught my eye. The tag line read “life as it should be”. That was it, the reason I had been looking for. It would sum up all that I write about here. It was just the very thing our family had come through, the caring, the love, the support, the emotions, just life.
And so it begins….

I thought you might like to know that you can create your own favicon to replace the Revolution one. http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/#icoformat offers a PhotoShop extension that allows you to save a file as a favicon. But you probably knew that! Anyway, as I said in a previous comment, nice site!
