We Do Get What We Ask For

Posted by deborah on Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

So, in my last post I made a comment about not having an image of a hummingbird. It’s funny how things unfold when we speak them out loud. Sunday was my dear friends birthday, so we took the day to drive north of Clearwater until we found a quaint, out of the way park, quite by accident I might add! It turned out to be a most interesting place with a spring full of fish and crystal clear cool water. The birds, wow, the birds were fishing as the tide went out. As we were making our way around the park towards the overlook tower, Denise spotted the one and only little hummingbird that we saw all day. He paid no mind to what we were doing, flew up and perched himself on a limb about 13 feet away from us. I didn’t get a shot of him in mid-flight but he let me take so many shots of him sitting on the tree branch.

MY First Hummingbird

Hope you enjoy him!
