Sunday Morning Blogger

Introduction

December 24, 2025

There are some mornings that ask nothing of us.

No headlines to chase.

No opinions to defend.

No lists to complete before the coffee cools.

Sunday morning has always felt like that kind of hour to me. A pause between what has already happened and whatever comes next. A small clearing in the week where thoughts can settle and memories have room to surface.

This site grew out of that space.

What you’ll find here are short stories, each one inspired by a single image. Sometimes it’s an old photograph. Sometimes it’s a quiet street, a window lit just before dusk, a table set for one, or a path that looks like it has been walked a thousand times before. I choose one image each Sunday and let it lead the way. I don’t always know where the story is going when I begin. I only know the feeling that caught my attention and asked to be noticed.

These stories are not rushed. They are meant to be read the way Sunday mornings are meant to be lived, slowly, without skimming, without an agenda. Some are gentle. Some are a little bittersweet. Many of them sit in that familiar place between remembering and hoping.

You won’t find cliffhangers here.

You won’t find tidy lessons wrapped in bows.

What you may find is recognition.

A moment that reminds you of someone you once knew.

A place that feels oddly familiar.

A sentence that lingers longer than expected.

Over time, these stories may grow into something more, perhaps a collected book, perhaps a series of quiet volumes meant to be returned to again and again. For now, they live here, one Sunday at a time, exactly as they are.

If this is your first visit, you can begin with the most recent story, or you can wander through earlier ones and see which image calls to you. There is no correct order. Each piece stands on its own, but together they form a larger conversation about ordinary lives, small moments, and the spaces we rarely pause long enough to notice.

From time to time, I may share reflections about the images themselves, the act of noticing, or the reasons certain stories insist on being told. These are not explanations so much as companion pieces, quiet notes left in the margins.

If you find yourself returning on Sundays, that feels like enough.

This site isn’t trying to keep up with the world.

It’s simply making room for a few still moments inside it.

So welcome,

I’m glad you found your way here.
